Customized Facials   $60

Facials are multi-step treatments that deeply clean and refresh the skin. Extractions are performed the right way, and in a clean environment. Whether you need a deep cleansing and exfoliation, or a more relaxing spa experience that incorporates massage, the improved circulation to the tissues will leave you feeling relaxed with fresh-feeling, clean skin.

Chemical Peels   $60

Chemical peels penetrate the topmost layers of the skin, revealing fresh new skin underneath, to improve the skin’s appearance. They are useful for treating acne, some types of scars, hyperpigmentation/sun damage, melasma, fine lines/wrinkles, etc. Often, when people hear the term “chemical peel”, they can have reservations about the treatment. Many peels are mild and induce no downtime, while other peels can cause a lot of visible peeling. Exfoliation is key to clear, healthy-looking skin, and chemical peels are a form of chemical exfoliation. To achieve the best improvement, most people benefit from chemical AND physical exfoliation, which is why I very often recommend pairing the 2 forms together in the same treatment.

What is a chemical peel treatment like?

Before the treatment begins, the skin is thoroughly cleansed with an appropriate pre-peel cleanser.  Depending on the type of peel used, the peel is either applied with cotton gauze, or it can even be applied with gloved hands.  When applied, a tingly sensation will be felt, and the skin can either become mildly pink or slightly red, depending on peel/acid type and/or the level of sensitivity of the person being treated.  Serums, moisturizer, and sunscreen are applied at the end of the treatment, and redness usually subsides the same day.

What results can be expected?

As with any treatment, results are typically cumulative, meaning the best results are seen with a series of treatments, spaced a few weeks apart. After a chemical peel treatment, experiencing visible peeling is not unusual, and will typically start to happen a few days after the treatment, and can last a few days on average. After peeling has subsided, you can notice more even tone and texture, fewer acne breakouts, balanced oil production. As with any treatment, it is very important to keep the skin properly hydrated with a moisturizer that is not only appropriate for your skin type, but is also compatible with the treatment you’ve had.

Microdermabrasion   $60

Microdermabrasion is a physical exfoliation of the skin, utilizing a hand-held device. The exfoliated skin cells are simultaneously and gently vacuum-suctioned away, leaving the skin instantly softer and smoother. One of the benefits of physical exfoliation is the enhanced penetration of chemical exfoliants, serums, or other topicals.

What is the Microdermabrasion treatment like?

The skin is first cleansed with a pre-treatment cleanser. The handpiece’s minimally-abrasive diamond tip exfoliator is maneuvered across the skin in several directions, while the simultaneous vacuum suction gives the sensation of a gentle facial massage. Microdermabrasion not only exfoliates, it also increases blood flow and stimulates collagen production.

Any two of the above treatments combined in the same visit is $105

Waxing   Starting at $20

Waxing is a method of hair removal, by means of applying a sticky substance to the unwanted hair. When the wax is removed, it takes the hair out with it, removing it by the root. The results last longer than shaving, and the waxed areas are left very smooth for several weeks at a time; on average, the hair can take anywhere from 4 to 10 weeks to grow back, depending on the area of the body. Ideally, hair should be grown out at least about ¼ inch for the waxing to be effective.

Microneedling   $185

Microneedling, also referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a treatment that utilizes the skin’s own healing response. Very tiny micro needles penetrate the skin, causing controlled injuries. Not only is the skin’s healing response stimulated, but the skin’s fibroblast cells increase collagen fiber production. Collagen is our skin’s most abundant protein, providing support, volume, and elasticity, all of which contribute to a smooth, full, youthful appearance. During the aging process, we produce less collagen, and as a result, our skin can sag and wrinkles can become more apparent. Collagen can also be compromised as a result of injury to the skin, such as the textural scarring left behind after acne heals. Microneedling stimulates collagen production to give the skin a smoother, more even tone and texture, renewing skin from the inside out. Microneedling can address acne, scarring, fine lines/wrinkles, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone and texture.

What is the Microneedling treatment like?
Before the treatment begins, a topical numbing cream is applied to the skin, and is allowed to penetrate for several minutes. This will allow for the best comfort during the treatment. When the treatment is complete, the skin will appear red (similar in appearance to a sunburn), and typically lasts for 48 hours after the treatment.
What results can be expected?
Microneedling reverses sun damage by breaking up melanin clusters, which are produced by melanocytes that aren’t properly functioning. This contributes to hyperpigmentation and age spots. You will also experience tighter, firmer skin as a result of increased collagen fiber production. On a cellular level, aged and damaged skin cells are replaced by new, fresh, healthy skin cells. Imperfections will be diminished, texture will be refined, tone will be more even.
